Disney! Disney! Disney!

Hakuna Matata. What a wonderful phrase. Hakuna Matata, ain’t no passing craze.

I MIGHT BE GOING TO DISNEYLAND PARIS AT CHRISTMAS! I could go running, and racing, and dancing, and chasing, and leaping, and bounding, hair flying, heart pounding, and splashing, and reeling. I literally feel as excited as Rapunzel when she finally leaves the tower in Tangled.

It’s my 16th and my sister’s 21st birthday present. I am insistent that we run around the two parks wearing Disney Princess dresses, or at least a Minnie Mouse headband. I’m also adamant that we get autographs and photos from the Disney characters. I feel like a kid again.

This was me at Disneyland Paris in 2005. (Please excuse the bowl cut hair, it wasn’t the highlight of my childhood). My Sleeping Beauty dress got ruined in the suitcase due to a sun cream explosion and I was devastated. My parents replaced it with a Minnie Mouse dress and several different tourist parties stopped me and asked for a photograph. Haha.

Disneyland Paris was definitely the highlight of my childhood. The place seemed so magical and almost unreal. I remember telling my parents that it felt like I was ‘living in a dream’. Even at the age of 6, I was a deep child. I’m not sure whether I’m so excited because it feels like I’m living a part of my childhood again or because even now, I still love Disney.
