First Exams

This will be VERY short and sweet. Well, you know what they say… the best things come in small packages. Anyway, it is currently 22:41 and I have my first GCSE examination tomorrow. I should definitely be fast asleep.

For the entire first 12 years of your life, it is completely building up to this precise point in education when you take your GCSE’s to carry you to your next step… further education. It is the 12 years where you develop skills… not to make the one decision which shapes your entire life. It is good if you have a clear direction on where to aim and you’re willing to put in the time and effort to get there but also, if you don’t have a single idea where you want to be or you haven’t found the ‘thing’ you’re good at yet, then you have plenty of time to find it and there is NO need to worry. There is way too much pressure being pressed upon students and I know that if you don’t quite achieve the grades you were aiming for then it is NOT the end of the world.

I want to wish the best of luck to all students who are taking their GCSE’s over the course of the next month. Stay calm and you’ll do great.

Au revoir
(I have GCSE French).

  2. Well done for realising that it isn’t the end of the world if your GCSEs don’t go as you hoped and that you don’t need to know your career path yet! Very mature 🙂 I remember making myself sick when I sat mine!

Good luck! I’m sure you’ll do great! 🙂
