Liebster Award Round Two

EXCITING NEWS: GCSE exams are well and truly over and never to be looked upon ever again… until results day in August, of course. IN OTHER EXCITING NEWS: I have also been nominated for… *druuuuuuum roll please*… another Liebster Award.

If this blog post goes to plan, it should be published at 7pm on the 19th June. (Oh the joys of scheduling posts, it’s not normal to be so excited by scheduled posts). I should just about be arriving at prom, fixing my hair, dolled up in a lacy, bright blue dress. The dress is nicer than it sounds, I promise. Here is to hoping that I have a decent night considering I’m not excited for it in the slightest because I have such conflicting views towards prom.

Anyway, moving swiftly on. I would like to thank Chow Kim Wan (check out his blog because it is AMAZING- if you love musical theatre (particularly Les Mis), you’ll spend hours scrolling through his blog reading each post) for my nomination. It is yet again a privilege to accept this. Shameless self promotion: check out my first Liebster Award which provided my blog with a purpose. Throwing time back to where it all began!

In order to welcome and encourage “new bloggers” (with under 200 followers) to the blogging world, the Liebster Award is nominated by bloggers to award other bloggers.

To accept, all you have to do is:
1) Link and thank the person who nominated you.
2) Answer the 11 questions your nominator gives you
3) Tag 11 bloggers who have 200 or less followers
4) Ask the 11 bloggers 11 questions, and let them know you nominated them!

So here are the questions which I have been asked, along with my answers:

Who is your favourite Disney character of all time?

Eugh. This might be the hardest question that I will ever have to face in my life. It’s harder than all my GCSE exam questions, combined, and I really struggled with those exams. My entire childhood has come down to this one question. Can I have five? Pretty please with a cherry on top? I don’t think I can narrow it down to one. Lumiere and Cogsworth from Beauty and the Beast. Sebastian from The Little Mermaid. I love Minnie Mouse to the extent that I have around eight Minnie Mouse bears dressed in different costumes from Snow White to an elf’s costume. And finally, Mulan. She is such an underrated character in Disney.

Which composer in the modern era do you look up to the most?

I would put musical theatre composers but there is one person who I think deserves my answer more. Yiruma. Oh my goodness, he is actually amazing. River Flows in You might be my favourite classical piece of music ever, ever, ever, although Gabriel’s Oboe from The Mission is a serious contender for that award. I’m conflicted between the two. I have to say that Yiruma is my favourite composer of the modern era and I suggest you all check him out now if you are unfamiliar with his work. I give you permission to stop reading my blog to google him.

Which musical that you have seen is the most spectacular?

Les Misérables. I don’t think any show will be as spectacular as Les Misérables. I just love it.

What is your favourite show tune?

My favourite show tune? These questions are so cruel. It’s like choosing your favourite food… how are you able to choose just one? I Dreamed a Dream from Les Misérables, Why God Why from Miss Saigon and Tell Me It’s Not True from Blood Brothers. Three tunes will have to suffice for this question, I cannot narrow it down to just one, it seems nasty.

Which is the most horrendous song you have heard in your life?

We currently live in the 21st Century where the top charts are filled with nothing but meaningless songs. I hate 89% of songs produced in the modern age. Pick any song at random from the top charts and I can guarantee that I, either, have never heard it or hate it with a passion.

Which song represents you the most?

I’ve never considered this before. Ah, it’s so thought provoking. I think ‘When Will my Life Begin?’ from Disney’s Tangled. I need to explain my answer though before assumptions are made that I’ve had a deprived childhood being kidnapped and locked in a tower. Rapunzel basically wants her life to begin because she’s waited for so long to explore the world. I’ve never had to long for something because my parents are so wonderful and I’ve had a very lucky upbringing that I appreciate to endless amounts. However, I’ve chosen this song because I have my entire life planned out in my mind. Whether it’ll happen or not is an entirely different story but I want to start living my life by moving down South to London but still being in education, I have to wait until I’m old enough to start pursuing my dreams. I’m just waiting for my life to begin.

Who do you model yourself after? (It can be someone in real life or a fictional character)

I try to be myself as much as I possibly can so I don’t particularly model myself on anyone because what’s the point in all being the same? I want to take the best traits from everyone. However, if I can be half as genuinely lovely as Celinde Schoenmaker or Carrie Hope Fletcher then I know that I have made it in life. Also, if my hair ever ends up like Celinde Schoenmaker’s then I would be insanely happy.

Where in the world do you want to visit the most?

I pretty much always long to be in London. I would love to visit Disneyworld Florida so much. I love Disney so insanely much which leads nicely on to the next question…

If you drop by Florida to visit one theme park only, will you visit Walt Disney World or Universal Studios?

Disneyworld. Disneyworld. Disneyworld. You’d be insane not to.

What sort of career do you aspire to have?

It would be an absolute dream if I could pursue a career in journalism specialising in musical theatre or film production or TV. Something along those lines. I want to do something involving writing because that’s where my biggest passion lies. Failing journalism, I would love to be an entrepreneur because Business Studies is the only subject I succeed in.

If it was possible, I would love pursue a musical theatre career but I’m about as famous as the green highlighter that is resting next to me so that career has flown out of the window

It’s been an absolute blast answering these questions so thank you for nominating me. I really appreciate it. Now it’s time for my nominees who have been nominated on their sheer awesomeness of their blogs:

Here are your questions to answer:

1) Top three favourite books?

2) If you could see any West End/Broadway show, what would you choose to see?

3) What is your favourite TV show?

4) What is your favourite film?

5) If you could meet anyone, either living, fictional or from history, who would you meet?

6) What’s your favourite number? (Yes, everyone has a favourite number, don’t they?)

7) Whose fictional death have you never been able to get over?

8) If you could travel anywhere (where money is no limitation) where would you go?

9) If you had to spend £1 million, what would you spend it on?

10) Favourite thing to do?

11) What are you most excited for?

If you choose to accept your nomination, please link your post in the comment section as I would LOVE to read them and keep up with your amazing blogs. Thank you for reading guys 🙂

  1. Yeah, you replied! Thanks! Hmmm @ the horrendous song question, I was expecting everyone to name one singer, but I realized there were too many to choose from that we would simply lump them together. 🙂 That’s why I do not listen to pop charts today. I swear pop made more sense in the 1970’s and 1980’s. Anyway, for meaning and story in songs, the easiest way is to fall back on show tunes. I believe we both agree on that. And I wasted the ninth question there… Everyone said Disney World. As if I did not expect it. LOL.
